The first year of my son's life was precious beyond words -- and fleeting! When it was over, it was marked by almost a full night's sleep and piles of pictures that I couldn't imagine would begin to express to him someday how special he was and how much that time in his life meant to his family. Here's where Embellishing Memories came in. Theresa gently took temporary guardianship of my ‘shoeboxes’ full of pictures and mementos, talked with me at length about our first year with my son Aidan--and then worked a miracle. She returned to us a first year album more beautiful and touching than I could have anticipated. She included everything that meant the most to us, in a manner that was artful, tasteful, and, most importantly to us, very consistent with our personal style and our recollections of that time in our lives. On one two-page layout, she enlarged pictures of our trip to the ocean with our son, and underneath those pictures created a hand-sewn envelope that stores letters we wrote to him as a baby. It brought tears to our eyes. I think it is a very particular gift to be able to take someone else's memories and glean from them what is most essential, most meaningful. Theresa has this gift. She is an extremely talented artist, designer, biographer. Her work has given my family a treasured heirloom for which we are most grateful.
